Thought i would start a build thread, I have started it with the help of Geoff Moss mph motor panels whilst i was down there this week.

Here is the fiberglass shell i bought to use as a buc the plan is to build it out of aluminium and polish it up if i can get it any were near good enough..

Cheers a did have a little help on this panel but reall happy with it so far when the body is done i will put the return lip on it so its a nice fit

Next i moved on to the the rear wings, a fair bit of these had to be hammer formed as the radius were to tight to fit in the wheel. I have never done any hammer forming so was a bit of a learn curve but happy with the results so far

They are all roughly shaped and over sized to allow for some fettling when assembling the shell

Then i moved on to the front wing all much the same as the rear a mix of hammer forming and wheeling

i forgot to take pick of this panel when i finished it had to soften the front and hammer form it quite a bit


then moved on to the door but also forgot to take a pic of the finished result

a lot have people have said why did i use the fiberglass one, but want to learn how to make a complete car so thought i would start with a small one saying that Geoff did say a lot of this is harder as all the shapes are so tight

Still learning loads had to ask what the best way was to do some of it thats why i tried to do one complete side of the car whilst down with mph

I couldnt do this at the begining of the year i had never done anything with ali but Geoff is a good teacher

I have not seen any will just work somthing out planning on using a moblity scooter that i have got to power it just need to find some nice wheels

superb stuff-hope you are not going to paint it when its finished- be a shame to hide that craftsmanship with paint (not that I'm saying sprayers are not craftsman gods in their field).
