sorry just read my post not very clear.i meant could some of you put up pictures of t45 or cds roll cage welded joints up so i see what my weld should look like

this is a chrome-moly car i did recently,
no close up weld pics but its the same principal as thinwall T45,
spend extra time on the joint fit and it'll repay you when its time for welding,
A15 filler for tube joints and 968 silicone bronze on the sheet stitch welds.

This is a pic of some 1 1/4" CDS suspension components i sometimes weld up. I think it's around 2mm wall thickness done with 1.2mm rods at around 65 amps. Still needs improvement to make it look nicer though.

My mate does it, been going to him for the last 43 years, he does all my stuff.
25% cheaper than anyone else, I've taken a lot of chrome to him from members of this forum and everyone seems well happy.

I did the polishing myself to keep the cost down, I did it over a few days to spread the load on my arms
I would guess at about 12 hours to do it all, the CDS is pretty good to start with so wasn't that bad really, where its welded was all prepolished on a belt so once together it was just a case of tickling the welds up.
