Hey there.
Just bought myself a Hydraulic press...
What an AMAZING bit of kit. I can't believe I've been struggling with hammers and drifts on bearings for all these years.
Well, I'm doing a bearing job on a van which was such a b**tard job it inspired me to buy the press.. (Automotech 20T - £250 and EXACTLY the same as the £500 Sealy one).
Anyway, I got the massive old bearings out with a large socket but I need something to push the new one in as the socket is too small.
It's got a 55mm OD so I need something 52-53mm OD ideally. I'll have a go with 50 or 53 at a push.
I don't want to spend £50 on a short length of round bar just for this job.
I have a bearing press set but they're in-between sizes... TYPICAL !!
Cheers in advance.
