This is my latest birdie. Im heading of this weekend to a summer art festival at a large quite posh estate house. Im kinda hoping for a few rich landowners to come along willing to spend.... I live in hope

hope you make some sales and hopefully a few commissions.Thats amazing!!! those spiky feathers must make it real tricky to move and carry! One of my goals is to eventually be able to make a bird sculpture. How do you make the feathers?
That is quite beautiful!
Even Littl'un likes it, and she has a tendency to roll her eyes indifferently at anything I mistakenly think she may like.
?Is that Corten on the breast? he said sounding like he know what he is on about.![]()
Ye they are a real s**t to move. Ive just been down to pick 3 of them up for exhibit this weekend and they were a real pain to move especially as I was on my own. The feathers are all individually cut with the plasma and tacked on from the bottom up to hide the welds. If you check out " how to build a Red Kite from steel" on you tube there is a bit on there about how I mark and cut the feathers. You can get 2 rows of them from 1 line which saves a bit of cutting
Thanks for the advise I'll definitely have a look. The main thing I was wondering was whether it was done with a plasma. I really need to get myself one!!
good luck with the sales mate, after seeing your portfolio grow youl have no problem shifting it to those tight scots![]()

Shirazman you sound like an art whore.
Go for it.
A lot of them are actually quite nice people.
A while back on here somebody said of me 'I thought you were a hippy but no you are capitalist'
A cheap solution to the shed problem is a poly tunnel structure, my friend use one, a decent size about 4x5m ish cost about £200 for materials and a days work to out it up.

Ramsay....as always your work makes me just sit and look, with a rather slack jaw as well, wife thinks they are fantastic...
Sean.
