wet down the shed today and found these guys had moved in.
boy do the parents work hard
no child minders or nursery for them

supose l will have to delay fitting the new door till they have flown the nest as it were

We've just excavated a large pond, and the day we filled it the Housemartins spotted it and were diving for mud to make their nests - this went on for a few weeks. Now they are back scooping up insects from the water surface. They had kept flying in my barn workshop looking for nest sites through the pedestrian door and would only come out went I raised the roller shutter!

We had some Martins in our outhouse years ago and the nest fell down so I put them nest and all into a Vitalite tub and nailed it back up to the rafter and the parents just carried on feeding them.

We have a similar problem in our shed, hate the little blighters, crap all over the place.

Spent ages filling holes and putting up sheets to stop them but they can squeeze through the tiniest gap!

Wouldn't b quite so annoying if they didn't have to pass through next door to get to our side!!!!

Every year they come to my workshop , i think i have 4 nests in there atm , and i donno how many in the stores, yer they crap everywhere but they having been coming every year for the last 19 so i dont want them to stop now,

Earlier this year some doves decided to make a nest in the end our guttering, right on top of the down pipe. I climbed up and removed it once I'd spotted it only for the daft things to go and make it again in the same spot. The pair of them were on the chimney watching as I took the first one away, probably planning to build their next one....

They had that at my old school; demolition contractors were about to move in when someone decided that there might be bats, so a bat inspection had to be arranged. Then someone worried there might be Starlings or somesuch; another inspector called. 3 months that took, the contractors have finally started this week. I shouldn't complain too much, the extra delay allowed me more time for salvage!

well they all growed up and flew the nest, but they come back every night and try to squeeze in they dont fit so they built an extension on the side no pp or asking they just wacked it up
anyway it turns out the randy blighters have up to 3 broods in the same nest one after the other, no new doors on the shed just yet then

and does anyone know what these triffid like thinks are that seem to be taking the planet over, real prickly things
