Love that model of Hilux, I had a remote controlled car version of it as a 10 year, loved it.
Strange event took place involving it, I had it out in a local park driving it along the footpaths with a friend from school. At the end of one of the footpaths next to the road leading to the car park i had stopped it because a park tractor was coming along. The driver of the tractor then deliberately drove up onto the footpath and drove over the car, disintegrating it. I was gutted.
My dad later made enquiries with the park and found out who the driver was, he of course denied it. Dad decided he'd speak to a solicitor he knew and lodged a small claims court case.
This actually then went to court, me and my mate both gave evidence, (I was in 1st year as an 11 year old), as did the tractor driver. We won our case and got compensation so I was able to replace my rc with a similar one. The solicitor didnt even charge dad because he said it was an interesting little case. That 1st court experience stood me in good stead and was the 1st of many times I'd be in the witness box.

I'm no lorry expert, but I recognize all of those from my youth except the ERF next to the Thames Trader. Any story to tell about it? I've seen many Chinese Eye cabs before, but not with that weird proboscis.
( I don't recall seeing a Scamell Unipower before either, but that looks very modern)

Apparently the semi forward control cab was aimed at three man crew operations like brewery deliveries, but not widely adopted.

I'm sorry I'm no lorry guru but I have found this site about ERF's. There is a lorry just the same featured in the photos (apparently it's a KV made for breweries.

Sabrina - oy loyks 'at. I seem to recall the Jaguar 420G test mule with the twin OHC V12 also had that nickname for similar reasons!
