Very nice. Seen a couple of these down this way at events, having been turned into mobile coffee shops serving rather expensive coffee and snacks!

A friend managed to get his H van up to a constant 60kph. A conrod thought better of it and decided to see the view.

A renault UN1 transaxle is a tough item and has 5 speeds, and coupled to a pinto or the 4 cylinder Ford/Mazda motor would certainly liven up an H van, you'd need to swap the Crownwheel and diff over to the opposite side of the pinion to avoid the embarassment of having one forward and five reverse gears. That is an easy job, as I did this for a car where the transaxle needed to be installed upside down to avoid the same issue.

Looks like the van wheels wind up along with the corner steadies, leaving the twin axle wheels visible in the middle.

I've seen a fibreglass front end on a box trailer that makes a similar looking thing, I would love one outside our shop

Ha! Been to 3, Newcastle and then Bangor Co. Down and Redcar in Cleveland while at a Venture Scout summer camp, may all have been the same year, 1991. A brilliant time of my life at 17

Been to four but two were close to each other. St.Ives & Newquay - think the DJ was Ed Stewart, Bournmouth - DJ was Tony Blackburn, and Southampton - DJ was Noel Edmonds. As you say great times at that age

I went to one almost by accident. We were on holiday near Weymouth and popped in to the beach for the day and found Wrighty on stage!

I'm not sure if this fits, it has no engine. It's my old pull grader. I spent 20+ years resisting using parts off it for my scrap sculptures because I liked it as is. Then I had to move and tried to sell it but no one was interested so I left it. I'm told it was cut up and hauled to the Junkyard by the new owners.
