seems the Optimator II is dual port and the Optimator I is single port. It also seems they are GasIQ now?......£140+ vat though, thats priceyAs above it;s cheap regulators allowing a surge everytime you hit the switch.
One of the best things you can do to sort this is buy a good/proper 2 stage regulator will save you loads of gas. Something along the lines of a Elga Optimator 2 there expensive but you'll get your money back from the gas saved.
I reckon I got my money back in a couple of months.

yeah but nah but yeah but nah but yeahAre you sure?
I'm not a fan of long runs...more of a short walk (to the car) sort of person2 stage regs - thou expensive - do save on gas in the long run...
thats further than i go.I'm not a fan of long runs...more of a short walk (to the car) sort of person
Gas density does...I would imagine that has a correlation to flowinteresting, im not sure if this is a feature or i bought a lemon.
does anyone have to tweek their flow rate? When i get in the garage its normally 5-7c so i flick on the heater, I need to adjust flow rate on the regulator to get 7ish LPM, then when the garage warms up I need to adjust the flow rate again as its generally running about 11LPM at that point,
is this normal? does flow rate differ depending on temperature?
So I gave them a call, and flow rate will differ depending on temperature.i.e. when the bottle is first opened around 6c the flow rate is different to when its warmed up to around 15c, something something density. As long as i know, its fineA 2 stage reg should give a steady flow rate irrespective of the pressure of the gas bottle. It's what it is designed for!
