ok, so bought a large composition(concrete) garden eagle , large nearly 3 foot tall by 30 inches wide with wings out stretched ,the sort that go on pillars outside mansion house, its old , some times in its life the head has been bodged and looks more like a penguin than a eagle ..so I either have to sculp one at some stage or my preferance would be take a mould of an original head , then it will be back to original. my question being any member got such a thing or as normal a pair I can take a mould from, long shot but worth the ask. thanks

I will down load a pic later , but if you google waterlow park and look at their pics they have a pair the same, one which was repaired , this 3d printing sounds like a good idea , how would I get the data from one of those in the park , don t have a printer or knowledge but sure some one would help out for tokens so to speak.

So from that you would need somene to scale the model and make a negative to print, perhaps in tpu, then you can fill it with concrete.

Then cast new in resin or tinted concrete?

Out village fete auctioned off a large wooden owl that had been carved with a chainsaw during a display earlier in the day. I dropped out when bidding went well above my pocket money allowance

See if you have a local chainsaw sculptor who could oblige?

that looks like the right one , I have nt down loaded the image from waterlow park as states on it may have copyright , but they are the same as mine excepting my peguin head , actually looking at it today more like small dolphin !

does it always reverse the image ? and preferably I would need more neck if possible (that sounds wrong) but thats the correct pic for sure.

no I would use clay and do it myself , been repairing and casting for thirty years , I would just prefer a copy of an original so it stays true to original . but wood buck makes sence if you are used to wood carving .thanks
