At a smidge over sixty I've just bought this am I mad

a husky TE 150 tpi 22 plate 108 hrs and 2427 miles on the clock , bit of a project as plenty of bits to do as its previous owners must have been a bit dense was very cheap though , if I don't keep it may be a nice ish earner .

Having recently seen a rather semi- AI documentary on the Churchill tank and its variable pitch track cleats, that might be interesting to try on off road motorcycle tyres.

Two points Im a tad jealous I-like a two stroke. And 60 plus doesnt bounce as well as 18 plus!

1. Take the plug out and make sure it the "right colour"

2. Buy some decent two stroke oil - don't skimp out - work the mix out!

3. Enjoy the bike...

4. Report back how many hours you got out of the piston and cylinder head before the rebuild...

No mix to work out , it's oil injected with separate oil tank , electronic pump , the book says 80 hrs top end rebuild but plenty of YT says easily double if not competion use

no cats but after 22/23 they are TBI's not TPI's and yes the emissions spoilers have reached their sticky fingers into the dirt bike world

the yoof are mostly leccy now and bounce is a bit of a concern , more body armour maybe needed me thinks anyways wat you trying say aboot me neighbourhood I might have to bring it up and rag it around your land me laud .

I have an XR400 in the garage at home with TRX400 crankcases (electric start coversion). 440cc kit on it - XR350r six speed geartrains in it.

Silly big - acerbis clear tank on it.

Sits idle as I too busy doing other things.

I like a "smoker" - but to own it has to be a 4 stroke....

I have an XR400 in the garage at home with TRX400 crankcases (electric start coversion). 440cc kit on it - XR350r six speed geartrains in it.

Silly big - acerbis clear tank on it.

Sits idle as I too busy doing other things.

I know the feeling 18 yr old + ktm 125 = fimer broken to 5 pieces a k-nail two more ops and 18 months of work , my history with dirt bikes doesn't read well hence the " stupidity " heading

Got some and a skid lid , safety first and all that . The question was asked " if youv'e bought it to fix up and sell on why the boots & helmet "
caught again it'll probably be a forced sale after the first injury . there are a few issues yet though .
