Yes, sadly not compatible. They definitely aren't cheap new.Unfortunately, it is not the correct type for my chuck.
I think I need EC type collets.
Rotagrip sells them.

However, I need something MUCH cheaper priced than what they sell for new.
@fizzy do you already have a collet that fits? Post or message a picture and we can compare with the ones I've got.I am looking for some for my big Holbrook D1-8 fitting.
I get confused with all the different types. What is the type called with the springs and sliding fingers inside?
I think D would be the best size although I could probably use an E size collet as well.
You can pick them up new and lightly used on eBay - I think I paid £60 for a new old stock and then approx £13ea for these:Unfortunately, it is not the correct type for my chuck.

What's a KC?I have a (KC) D1-3 collet chuck and selection of the collets. Been holding out for a D1-4 to appear for reasonable money
The ones I've seen used the bed attachment, but it could be either.Do the lever versions normally use a bed attachment?
They're brilliant each collet probably has a larger range than ER's of a similar capacity....if there is anything similar, and the lever operation makes opening and closing faster.Nice!
How do you like them?
I suppose you have experience with other collets (ER type).
How do they compare?
Are the Burnerd ones your 'go to' collets?
Mine isn't much more! This may well be the blind leading the blind as they say. With my knowledge of these being about zero
One thing I noticed is that the handle does not lock when I 'close' the collet.
