Dark tinted safety glasses

What do you recommend? Most are not very tinted and make little difference when out in bright sun all day. I find if its too bright drains my energy.

Have a few pairs of Bolle Silium, but they are neither tinted enough and scratch easily. Currently have some Amazon Blackrock cheapies that seem to fit my face a little better, but same with tint.

Should I get a pair of shade 5 welding googles?

i have reactolite in normal glasses and i havent looked back since having them installed with them

the sunlight tends to bug my eyes and anything reflective it bugs them get headaches and eye aches as much the same can be said at night with the headlights of other cars the worst being the led lights

i use protective normal lenses( googles ) if i need to protect those reactolite glasses but walking from bright areas to dark and you will be blind enough until the lense adjusts to the darkness

try a baseball style cap, it helps increase the shade over your face, but only if worn the correct way round. none of your yoof style hip hop look

I usually wear DeWalt auger fire. They seem quite dark to me. They are shiny and this might be the route to get less light penetration as can't think that I have ever worn a pair of tinted glasses that I have noticed to be any darker than the others. Although Google shows a couple of results for Extra dark tint safety glasses

Bolle tracker annoy me and cant wear them, big opaque frame limits field of vision and then they still seem worse for getting particles in the eyes than standard types.

I am very light sensitive, caused in part by my mother having terrible eyesight, resulting in extremely strong blinding lights at home until I moved out, the lounge had 6x 100w bulbs, I think it did permenent damage. Optician said I have UV damage too.

Would look bloody stupid under the Protos and would catch on the visor.
Protos do make a pair of tinted safeties but the clear ones are a bit poo and I'm currently refusing to give them another 40 quid.

My experience is that photochromatic lenses dont darken as much as normal sun glasses so I dont imagine them being much good.

I also wear those, and I wear them riding my motorbike too in the city as I like to ride with the visor open. They are my favourite safety specs.

Its a shame they put the price up, was £1.60 each with a 3 pack and now it looks like £5.50 each. I had about 20 pairs but many got badly scratched and in the bin.

Well no the chin guard is still there but even then I never had that problem yet. Not like riding country roads.

what you might be better looking at is

sunglasses needed after cataract surgery

some people who do have them done need full surround sunglasses

but for me who wears glasses all the time the reactolight is ample enough even at night time driving as they do reduce the glare well compared to normal glasses
