I think that bedsheet is a genuine product that's been repurposed as snake oil...
Its not for grounding the person against electrical shocks though, they are designed to form the ground in a bed wetting alarm, they are designed to train people (children) over time to wake up when they have a full bladder by sounding a alarm when some leaks out and completes the circuit.
I thought people were talking about electrostatic grounding sheets when I first seen this thread, they go around your workspace to stop static shocks to components when working on static sensitive electronic devices, but alas, no.
