He could have fitted it in place of his passenger seat James Bond style. That could have been exciting for some trucker.

Pick up a female hitch hiker, oh look there’s a lay-by. Will you, won’t you? …….. no? ……WhooshHe could have fitted it in place of his passenger seat James Bond style.
We had a company shipping an ejector seat from Turkey recently. I asked if the firing cartridges and rocket tubes had been removed. They didn't know what I was talking about. I asked for a few piccies - and no they were still on the seat![]()
You're brave mentioning EVs on this forum
Might be worth your contact having a look at this company, have no personal link or use of this company, I remember seeing it a few years ago out of interest.
It doesn't surprise me in the least, having seen how inconsistently DG's are handled even by large well resourced companies who routinely trade in them.We had a company shipping an ejector seat from Turkey recently. Erm, you do know that they will take more energy to go uphill (same as a petrol car using more petrol going uphill) but when you go down they can recharge the batteries using the motor as a brake? (Unless you only ever drive uphill and never come back down again, which I’m not sure many people do…)its still the same now
as goes for evs those that live in hilly areas pay twice compared to those in flat areas

Dynamic braking dumps too much power too fast to absorb it all in the battery.Erm, you do know that they will take more energy to go uphill (same as a petrol car using more petrol going uphill) but when you go down they can recharge the batteries using the motor as a brake? You’ll have to expand on that, driving my missus car I lose range going up hill, (happens regularly going to west wales where there a long downhill stretch) and gain pretty much all back going down the other side. At no point does the regen meter go off the scale, so every bit that is regenerated is going back to the battery.Dynamic braking dumps too much power too fast to absorb it all in the battery.
Of course there are losses but “the battery not accepting it” isn’t one of them…Regeneration gives you up to about 60% back on steep hills. Aerodynamic drag and friction are other factors along with heat of course.
first you said "hills" and now your example is "long hills".....Of course there are losses but “the battery not accepting it” isn’t one of them…
they most certainly don’t capture it all but I’ve rarely had the regen bar off the scale except for the odd “oh sheet” moment - downhill (long, short, steep or otherwise to fulfil your criteria) certainly never apart from a really cold or fully charged battery.first you said "hills" and now your example is "long hills".....
They don't capture it all, and especially when short fast braking, like in traffic and short hills.
you can't have it all.
Period.
@sg66 , do you have any contact details or links to them? There is a garage that specialises in repairing leaf batteries down London way they have plenty of bids on YouTube, there are known fail points because of the way the battery overheats, much cheaper than replacing

So then why don't you go and haul that battery for the OP then ?they most certainly don’t capture it all but I’ve rarely had the regen bar off the scale except for the odd “oh sheet” moment - downhill (long, short, steep or otherwise to fulfil your criteria) certainly never apart from a really cold or fully charged battery.
