Avon Skin So Soft. Nothing beats it, and it's loads better than those horrible anti midge chemicals you have to keep out of your eyes and mouth. You'll smell like a tarts knickers, but believe me it's worth it. (just don't bat your eyelids walking past scaffolders)
Oh aye, and forget Citronella. The little buggers love It!
..and I was about to suggest citronella! Does the avon stuff work for mozzies too? We get some real nasty ones - had one whine into my ear the other night and batted it hard - with my injured hand hand. Oh my..shoulda heard the girl scream
Citronella seems to work but after 3 months in Aus slathered in the stuff the smell now makes me feel quite nauseous, rather smell like a tarts knickers (actually I'd probably rather smell like a skunk but doubt that would work and this is neither the time nor the place..)

Well we've now got caravan dwellers in the field next to us, hence me wanting to tidy the place up a bit, and make it more secure. Spent the weekend fixing up the fence down the bottom, and finding scrap metal in the process.
Gonna have to find something decent to make some more ground anchors out of, for the last ones I bought scaffold ring bolts

Thing that amazes me is when they finally get kicked off from wherever they are living, they leave hundreds of 47kg propane cylinders behind. These things must breed. (Cylinders not gypers).

Theres a camp up the road from me, well i live in essex so the bloady place is full of em we even have an ellected MP thats one but dont get me started, anyway they leave the propane cylinders by the side of the road when there empty, like milk bottles.
Oh and funnily enough I notced the gypsies have a bath dumped in the field (for their horse I guess) aswell

Mr ratty used to have a studio off Brick lane and the pikeys cut out a section of railings into the little park behind his studio one night and it filled up with the lot of 'em. Following day his engineer mate took his welder out and welded the railings back, then rang police and told them to get their arses down and arrest them for public damage (or whatever it's called - breaking and exiting? ) if they tried to cut their way out. Police arrived, told the pikeys the score then opened the gate and said they had 1/2 hour to leave. They went like lambs. So the moral? don't lock 'em out...weld 'em in!
