Scientists have found an opening on the Lunar surface which looks like it could be 100m deep and lead to underground channels https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ce784r9njz0o. Such features would be perfect for Moon bases. Who will get there first and how will they retain possession ? Don't suppose it will be the Brits, unless we can find a modern Sir Francis Drake.

I would like to know how they formed as such as there is little method for erosion?

At 100m deep while adequate protection for bases and people against radiation as such, getting in and out, while very feasible seems a little impractical.

All a bit fanciful. So there's a hole in the ground, still be a few thousand tons+of building material and tens of thousands of man hours to put together anything that would resemble a habitable building up there. First things needed up there will be a Travel lodge and a Travis Perkins

The film is good if taken as it’s meant to be, as an allegory for the dangers of militarisation for society. It’s meant to be a bit tongue in cheek
