Doin wheel nuts up murder tight is one thing - it is when they lead in with impact gun on trigger and crossthread - wheel fixing nips - they then commit with the battery impact gun. Send it home forever...
And as you know old mate - there is only one special kind of tight....
Not automotive but once had a young lad working on the farm and told to change a screen in a straw chopper. He had done it many times before but had just bought himself a Milwaukee impact as i wouldn't let him use mine. I can hear from across the yard the impact start hammering and hammering. No whizz to begin with and the hammering went on for a good 15 seconds, on a bolt that needed barely more than finger tight, then the inevitable whizz of the gun spinning. I went over and sure enough the end 10mm of the stud is completely knackered as is the nut. He then proceeded to argue blind that he had not cross threaded it and had definitely fitted the bolt by hand before trying the gun. And there was obviously some inherent problem with the bolt.
