Getting a bracket fabricated

Afternoon guys,

I’m looking to get a small bracket made up out of 5mm mild steel.

Contacted my local fabrication place and basically as a one off it’s going to be pretty expensive.

Just wondered if anyone is able to point me in the direction of perhaps an online company that would specialise in low volume stuff? Or if anyone on here has the tooling and would like some beer tokens let me know. I’ve got a cad file for it

Is it to be bent or welded ? Lot more measurements and tolerance needed.

Also depends on how pretty it needs to be !

Bent ideally, I’ve got a .dwg file for it

Yeah 5mm thickness ideally

Plenty of online places will laser that. Couldn't you run the gas along it and bend it yourself?

I can only bend it with a miracle bender so it won't be the tightest radius going but may suit your purpose.

I'll have a crack tomorrow and let you know the outcome.

There's a place a few miles from me that do that, but they need a certain type of file sending and I have no idea how to create one. dxg rings a bell, but I'm not sure. How does one create a dxg file?

If you've drawn it in 3-d, go to the flat pattern, click on the face, and then right mouse "Save as DXF"
If in 2-d just save the whole file "Save copy as DXF"
