It's just a bit of fun to weigh the pumpkin.
The pumpkin was purchased from a charity pumpkin patch planted and tended by folk with learning disabilities. Proceeds get put with the pub quiz money and will go to the Poppy Appeal.
SWMBO thought my idea of a wicker basket with a photo of Harris/Saville/Gadd staring up was in bad taste.

I bought one for my son for his 21st thinking it'd be a 5 minute wonder. 99% of the printing he does has a practical and long lasting application both at home and work.

Tool holder for some inserts I picked up from the car boot sale, made from the shank of an old reamer.
Edge probe for the mill, 0.005mm deflection to activate.
and finished the little engine - unless I decide to paint her.

Nothing exciting, piston circlips took far longer to arrive than I had hoped. But it's another saw out back together. Lot of smoke due to the oil from the assembly.
Note to the kids, high compression and altered port timing is fast.
But mashed pistons are not cool.
She survived a year of abuse before the destruction then resided on a shelf for 2 years.

Started designing the tree climbing spikes. 6mm x 25mm alu bar, bent as the frame. The right bend was a far too tight radius and cracked, will be cut off and another bit bolted on - thats only for a securing strap loop anyway. Plenty more bar if I cock it up..
The difficult bit is working out where to bend for a comfortable fit. I'm going to cut it and have the leg support a seperate piece.
To have the spike in the right place on the shoe, it needs to be offset quite a bit from the leg support.
