Ebay selling a caravan

Hi Folks, we're selling our 71 Viking Fibreline classic caravan and I wanted to put it on ebay but not sell it through ebay. I recently sold some car parts to a guy in Germany and ebay charged 15% and that's just crazy as I want to try and sell the caravan for £5000 and I don't want to pay £750. I spent a lot of time and money restoring her so don't want to lose a load of cash selling due to ebay fees. Could I just say cash or bank transfer at collection? Also listed on Facebook so hopefully it just sells through there but ebay does have a big reach.

There is a cap on the maximum final value fee they charge.

These are the charges if you put it in as a classified sale.

So the most you would pay is £65

Sell it as a classified listing.
I think it's around 21 quid to do so. But no ebay fees are taken if it sells.

Ebay do an 80% off final selling fees offer sometimes,

Might be worth a look in your ebay messages. I dont know if there's any extra fees on something selling for 5k though so do a check first.

we sold our house in France thru ebay.uk.......I'm sure it was less than a 100£'s......it was over 350,000........

I think collectable enough that some one in the states would buy it and have it shipped.
There is a real following to vintage "Canned Ham" campers.

We had a lot of interest when we advertised our celtic rambler 5th wheel complete with Tow truck for 27,500 but despite many wows and complements none turned into money.
We had to send it on sale or return basis to niche marketing . Sad really when a brand new one is over 100k now.

Unless things have changed you are required to give potential buyers the option of paying via Paypal when selling on eBay so double check. I fell foul of that a few years ago when trying to say cash only for a car I was selling
