Mudguards still to fit.
I hope you don't get the cleaning the shower job!The most difficult part was bending myself into a pretzel to do the masking on the low parts inside the shower enclosure. My back is still a bit sore.
It’s not too hard to clean the shower, but masking was difficult because I had to view the bottom edges and brackets straight on in order to get the tape straight and even, so my head had to be down at floor level inside the shower while taping.I hope you don't get the cleaning the shower job!
Your work is immaculate, it's a credit to you.Good progress on the upstairs en suite bathroom in our 'old house project' over the past few days.
I made a marble backsplash for the vanity countertop, using pieces of marble tiles and trim that were left over from tiling the shower enclosure walls. The gray-framed window at the left of the vanity is designed to 'borrow' afternoon light from the window across the hallway. It's all inside the master bedroom suite, so privacy is less of an issue, although a translucent curtain could always be installed.

I installed the frameless glass shower surround. These frameless surrounds are touchier to install than framed surrounds, since you can't hide errors by just sliding the glass to varying depths into extruded frame elements. Masking it for caulking was also a bit fussy, since I decided to mask around all of the clamps/brackets/supports. The most difficult part was bending myself into a pretzel to do the masking on the low parts inside the shower enclosure. My back is still a bit sore.

I also finished installing the toilet and bidet. You might notice the spacer I installed under the bidet to bring it up to the same (more comfortable) height as the toilet. I made that spacer some time ago and posted it HERE on the forum. The color of the spacer isn't a perfect match for the bidet, but I think it's probably close enough.

The toilet is a 1.2-gallon-flush water-saver model, and it works like magic, "now you see it, now you don't." We have an identical one that has been thoroughly tested and proved its worth.
The Corkoleum cork flooring has multiple finish coats of Bona Traffic HD two-part urethane on it, which appears to be a very tough finish, so it should hold up well.
We're thinking about adding a simple chair rail at the countertop height and possibly painting the wall/wainscot under the chair rail in a 'transition' color between the tan of the floor and the gray of the cabinet, but that's not a priority right now.
The bathroom still needs to be accessorized (towel racks, TP holder, etc.). The next thing we're trying to finish up is the upstairs master bedroom area. We're mostly done, but still need to do some fireplace hearth repair, floor painting, and baseboard heater installation.
Made a start on a fairly major garden project. The old playhouse and deck was getting past its best so was dismantled, site cleared, dug down level(turns out there was more slope on the garden than I thought) and access to this section is limited to wheel barrow and shovel. By the end of play tonight it's all level and stoned back up ready for concrete, just as well as its getting concreted at 7.30 on Monday. We've now decided to flagstone around the slab so that's more to dig out and stone up. Last pic is the reason for the concrete slab.

No sign of a tractor in any of those photo's.![]()
Now where did I put that left handed screwdriver? It's taken me all weekend, but for the first time in several years, my workshop is tidy and I can get into all the drawers and don't have to clamber over stuff to move around.

Free might not be such a good bargain if it damages the hay too much.Absolutely, its not ideal but the little acrobat was free! I keep looking for something a bit more modern but all the second hand stuff has been "farmered" so its knackered, exhaust extension to keep the by product of the little Leyland out of my lungs!![]()
I like that, it's always a ball ache job!Kawasaki-san's own was £400 and not going to be using it often, so....
Made my own! Fork spring compressor for upside-down forks, a bit posher to be honest - thrust bearings under the wind-it-down nuts, bushing for the bar through the fork ends so it can have others made to fit other forks - and all from the "pile of scrap" - it's saved getting on for half what the lathe and mill cost me...
