It's about the government but not political.
I tried to access my tax and NI records over the weekend but found you need a passport.
Despite it saying there are 6 ways to prove ID and you need 2 if the .gov departments do not have your information on file you can't use it.
A p60 is one of them. Payslips are another. Credit information is another.
But why don't they have my P60??
I can't send it to them....
So I complained..."WHy do you list 6 options to confirm you ID and then limit it to 2 from later in the process. why not just say you WILL need a passport. It is impossible to obtain online access to our records unless we have at least one of those or a Northern island driving licence. It an absolute joke there is no other way of getting online access."

DVLA services are operating within normal turnaround times. Please allow 4 weeks for your new documents to be sent to you if applying by post.
