One show they did on Pizza dough, they simply used the food processor, and they had a dough
ball in under 1 minute.
Mixed as well and kneaded.

I buy "supermarket" pizzas quite regularly.
The only ones I rate are:
Costco freshly made
Costco frozen (can't remember the brand. Will update later when I go shopping).
Asda freshly made.

And, surprisingly, "Lewis capaldi" meaty, or cheesy. (From Iceland food warehouse - well worth the £2)

I have tried pretty much every Aldi box pizza at one time or another, succumbing to the low price and pretty picture on the box...
After taking them home, firing up the oven, waiting the 1/2 hour for cooking, and eating them.
Have come to the realization that the box tastes better than the contents inside....

There is a van that comes to a pub in town tonight, their pizzas look and smell lovely, but I don't want a full-sized pizza by the time I get to the pub. It'd be great if they'd also sell slices, but they don't.

I can't be doing with these "four cheese" pizzas, once cooked all cheese tastes the same to me, so it just because a large expensive piece of cheese on toast. I do remember reading that mature cheddar isn't a good cheese to put on pizzas (or cheese on toast), because of the way it melts. There was some scientific explanation but basically cheapo mild cheddar is better.

Strange, one of my favourites that I mentioned above was from Aldi. But we all have very different tastes. I get brochures through from various takeaway pizza places, and I can't imagine spending Dominos-style money on one. Maybe if there's a few people around sharing the cost, but then I wouldn't get enough to eat.

We went to Florida many yrs ago, stayed in a suite in Kissimmee, right next door was a Pizzahut, went ordered a pizza or meself…..Wow, should have seen the size of it! Bigger than a bin lid and less than $10….. ( got a free one as well..) Suffice to say, couldnt eat it all

My cousin worked at one (they were everywhere in the 1980's)
She said they received the dough frozen in 50 lb boxes.
They had extra (might have been getting past date) and was told she could take it home, having done this before, she said it made really good bread.
This box (thawed) she left on the rear seat of her car....and forgot it overnight....it burped....all over the back seat....

I just make mine from scratch, just a simple flatbread recipe for the base. A mix of tomato puree, ketchup and sweet soy for the sauce and then what ever toppings we fancy

12oz plain flour, plus extra for dusting
salt and black pepper
2 tbsp olive oil
150-200ml warm water

For the flatbreads, sieve the flour into a mixing bowl and season with a couple of pinches of salt and a pinch of pepper. Add the olive oil and mix in the warm water - starting with 150ml and adding more if needed to bring the mixture together to form a thick dough. Knead the dough in the bowl to bring it together. Knead the dough on a floured work surface for 3-4 minutes, or until the dough is slightly elastic. Cover and leave to rest while you prepare the rest of the dish. Then do your best generation game impression and throw the dough about till you get a pizza base

As @roofman says the dough needs to ferment overnight

Add a dash of honey to allow the stretch and snap it gives

I helped a chap out with his pizza van a while back it was great fun and really good to see a pizza cooking in 1-2 mins

Do a bolognaise save some sauce for the pizza and leave the sauce a few days will taste a million times better

Proper mozzarella and decent toppings is the only way

I rarely have a shop brought anything unless I’m pushed for time

Chicago Town Loaded Cheese Tomato-Stuffed Crust. Add slices of parmesan and a packet of Serrano ham, cut up (cheap now they're all doing Aldi price match).

Give it a good cooking - longer and hotter than they say - to compensate for the extra toppings. Sprinkle with Aleppo chillies.

The stuffed crust stops the edge going dry 'n' horrible.

£.3.50 in Lidl, and currently in the Co-op. They're frequently on offer somewhere, but just the Co-op at the moment, according to Trolley.

My local Sainsbury's (almost directly opposite Domino's!) makes them up while you wait, to your own specification (even half and half) and will even heat them. Pretty sure they're only abouy £4 for medium sized one that I struggle to eat!
