Why are people so annoyed by vegetarians/vegans? How does their choice of lifestyle impact yours?

It annoys me when it does impact my life by it being yet another thing we are expected to be happy to be bombarded with, but if you say anything you’re some sort of -ist. The same as when you disagree with any other lifestyle choices people make.

People can largely live their lives how they want. I don’t care! I don’t like being force fed a narrative all the time and part of that seems to be that it’s fine to have an opinion as long as it’s the same as the one in trend and the moment.

As someone put above, how hard would it be to put “not tested on animals” on the packet and leave it at that.

'cos when my daughter's friend orders her vegan pizza made with "sheese", it makes my car smell like vomit. I think the "sh" at the start hints at what goes into it.

I'll be very surprised if their sausage rolls are.

But like products that are incidently vegan, if they can make a product halal, it allows Muslims to eat it and doesn't stop everyone else from eating it, so why not?

My youngest is vegan, doesn’t make a song and dance about it and accepts a bit of flexibility is sometimes needed - when he was a tree botherer he tried vegan boots, found they were expensive and not very good, so accepted that for the job they had to be leather.

I genuinely fail to see why people choosing to live a different lifestyle annoys other people so much.
I couldn't care less who eats what, doesn't eat what, identifies as what, it makes no difference whatsoever to my life.

I don't believe anyone is being 'bombarded' with the choice of others to eat without causing animal suffering? Certainly it is more publicised nowadays but that is purely due to the surge in interest and also the reason why cruelty free products are in all the supermarkets now. Even McDonalds and Burger King have that choice.

I could say (quite correctly) that the food choice of carnivores upsets me, but I don't attempt to 'cancel' that choice.

I don’t try to ‘cancel’ anyone’s choice nor do i approve of animal suffering however, it does appear quite often that ‘cancelling’ those who eat meat is on the vegan agenda.

I’ve never proclaimed “I eat meat and everyone else should” as i tend to live and let live. Vegans, generally, do not extend that courtesy to people. In my experience. That is my issue with vegans.

What people do or don’t do I don’t give a **** as long as people extend me that same courtesy.
