But no acetylene unfortunately. If you are using less that 3 cylinders per year it's cheaper to use SGS rent free.

Certainly not worth it on oxygen. All rent free charge like 60+ just to fill a small one.But no acetylene unfortunately.

£17 (now) + vat on a size YHow much is BOC per fill?
Yeah, I'm in no rush too, at work.Yeah, it's getting to the point where they pretend to pay me and I pretend to work.
Hobbyqeld charge 25 to fill the small one.Certainly not worth it on oxygen. All rent free charge like 60+ just to fill a small one.
Do you weld for free like?Your BOC annual rental is lost money no matter what way you look at it. I've had my current bottle of O2 for 3 years, if it was a BOC bottle that would be £180 wasted!
With mig gas I worked out that using 2 bottles a year on rent free is cheaper, 3 bottles about the same as BOC, more than 3 BOC is cheaper. I can't imagine that O2 will be much different.

One job would cover that 3 years
I can give you my prices for from SIG or you want to know, monthly/rent so not really what you asked forI struggle with trying to figure out the pricing of "rent free" cylinders
SGS never shows any prices and their distributors around Edinburgh way are all garages - no problem there, except garage websites don't show prices for gas
Hobbyweld doesn't show a purchase price, but talks about £110 to £190 for a deposit, which feels perilously close to a rental to me given I pay £60 a year for my BOC cylinder to sit there
Can anyone give realistic prices for a Size-Y equivalent bottle from the rent-free places, please?
