Flipping German rubbish Sprinter

My rental Sprinter has thrown a wobbly. Rear door jammed at the top - can't open it. Apparently it is a cable inside the door. Solution is to remove the inner panel to realese.
Problem is the side door won't open from the outside either
I have had several Sprinters and they have ALL suffered from the side door problem. Once unlocked it is fine - but when you lock the van it will no longer open again from the outside.
Any suggestions how to open one of the doors - Italian job springs to mind

Fiat Dooblo problem as well, never let 2 doors go Tu. Banging the door by lock while operating pinger sometimes made it open then strip and clean.

I've had issues with works sprinter refusing to open, I have to push the door hard at the rear to get it to latch properly then it opens

And the electric contact is crap, I have solder copper patches over them after they burn through.

Ring the rental company tell them you’ve got perishables locked in the van. Best case they’ll send someone round to break in, worst case say “bring it back to depot or take it to Merc van dealer”. Then insist on some recompense for inconvenience / spoiled fillet steak!

Agree with others really you have to take it back to rental co. would advise you block bosses car in with it untill they give you the keys to another to use, you cant really break into it with out causing damage of some sort ,unless likes been suggested it has a window in the bulkhead which can be taken out . when at rental co. film /tape conversation so you have legal back up to what ever is said, just in case. just glad it wasnt a couple weeks ago !!when we were doing lathe job.!

Enterprise are not known for being very quick to do anything. Rang the local Mercedes depot - most unhelpful bunch I have ever spoken to.
