Many years ago our local supermarket had €10 grinders with a three year guarantee, after I killed 3 in 4 days they removed them from the shelves, having reimbursed me.

For many years I had a 300w B&D 4" angle grinder bought in late 70's. Worked fine and would still have it but lent it to a friend to trim his horses hooves - friend died and didn't want to trouble his wife for it back.

The Einhell have this stupid thermal overload protection, that's why they give them silly long guarantees because it trips at the slightest hint of a bit of graft and you will never burn it out

Always good to know, maybe it’s not for everyone but it might suit some - I’ve got an el cheapo Aldi one that’s been a godsend with variable speed, use it all time for wire brush duty. You can tell it’s not the best built thing but it does a job and was less then £20

Makes no difference to me one way or the other mate. Only posted it to try and be helpful. Few honest opinions here more like smart **** replys

I have a 4 1/2" grinder bought from Makro years back when they were pedalling Nu-Tool I think it was. This one however is labelled "BUDGET". Vibrates a good bit more than my favourite Bosch but tbh it's done loads of graft.

The blade stop button thing failed years ago but it keeps going.
