Don’t think that is so much Ukraine related. Apparently drought in the tomato growing regions of the states. Tomatoes have been hard to come by for about two months. Tomato juice has been hard to come by since last year already .

But I still wear a coat when I'm cold.

You’ve obviously never been on a ship with a Filipino cook who made scrambled eggs in a deep fat fryer.

Veg oil all sold out on the oil shelves in our Tesco, but I know a trick...

There's still 5 litre bottles in "World foods" or whatever they call it, that's also where you can find 10kg sacks of chapatti flour (Cheap wholegrain flour) when the baking shelves are empty.

I tried an air fryer. Couldn't see the appeal. Oven chips are also rather unpleasant.

The only thing my fryer gets used for is turning Maris pipers in to nice crisp fluffy chips two or three times a month.

That's when the bloody supermarkets aren't shoving generic whites in a bag and labeling them pipers.
