Workshop was especially bad yesterday, I have a small (4") extrator in front of an air brick on the back wall. Usually with the front roller door open a few inches theres enough of a draft to remove the haze.... not yesterday. Dont know if its the new welder (gasless mig) or the way the wind was blowing.
Anyway thoughts turned to a respirator but I have tries loads of disposable face marks and a few 1/2 face masks but allways my specs steam up. anyone with specs found something that works?
Option 2 and possibly as well as PPE, a cooker hood ducted to outside. I weld at the bench when parts are small and in the vice and then on my bike bench for larger parts. Thinking a hood ( cheaper then making a canopy) suspended on chains could me moved to either location with a flexi duct to the wall? I would remove the filter to maximise the draw and possiby leave the existing fan as well in line with the ducting.
