Storage Crates

I have been using these b&q folding crates for storing my project in progress bits and bobs.
(they were on sale at the time a quid each!)
Trouble is, they fall apart, being b&q junk.
Has anyone found similar, but better quality, a good source for quantity bulk buys.?
I plan to make a roll around tower so I can push them into a corner, out of the way.

Basically indestructible.

That’s what I use.

Make up a frame with angle runners.

A local supermarket did one of our deliveries and the driver was in a rush. He said can I leave the crates and pick them up on my way back? Sure I said. He never came back. We have 13 of them and they are perfect (and stackable) for landy parts as I dismantle the 110 for the chassis change!!

I like the really useful boxes. They stack (often different volumes) have lids and will be availible for the forseeable future.

Not as tough as some but tougher than many. And clear so you can spot the junk (I mean prize) you are looking for.

Poundland do a 14l storage box with lids for £2 each. Not as tough as a bale crate but strong enough for most stuff.

Frank beat me, ive got about 80 in various depths, they take a stupid amount of weight, the only down side is the holes/slots in the bottom so anything like screws will fall through

I'm a fan of RUBs too. Expensive but the sizes all tessellate nicely.

These days I find the bale arm crates, tote boxes and the like far too big. I cannot help but seek to get value for money so fill any container to the brim. Then I can't lift the bale crates!

10kg is my manual handling limit these days!

Got ours brand new from a Bloke at Newark who turned up with 7.5 Ton lorry full of new ones, I think we bought 80 or so about £10 each new paid under £2 its a worthwhile investment.
A local trader gave us a few Plastic collapsable ones I think from supermarkets that are great too

In the "before times" someone at the car bootie was selling "bale crate" sized folding boxes. They were of a comparable strength/quality to supermarket delivery ones.

I mention this just to let you know that such crates are available - somewhere.
