Don't forget the redundant smart meters were all paying fornationalised entities too many top dogs and wasteful pratices
private too much goes into shareholders profits
while national also did the services private dont do anything until its an emergency
thats why we are paying an extra 100.00 on our bills to build a nucleaer station that the services will use and charge us for to supply power to us and yet we bought the thing dont see shreholders keeping up with services and supplying new power ranges for us to use
there bribing users to fit those in if you want a cheap tariffDon't forget the redundant smart meters were all paying for
We have a smart meter and had an interesting phone call from a sales person asking me how much energy I'd saved by having a smart meter. He couldn't understand how my smart meter wasn't saving me money and he gave up in the endi love it when i get a phonecall about getting a smart meter and i quiz them how it saves money. then ask them what the standing charge is and how much a kwh they chargeerr it varies and come out with a load of crap then realise they cant win and have to listen till i give up and end the trauma for them

This, for nearly the first time ever I think I agree with you.nationalised entities too many top dogs and wasteful pratices

But why? We always get people making broad statements but it makes no sense that a not for profit nationalised company is not better than a greedy money grabbing private company as Shell are proving in real life. Many of us can remember nationalised companies like Post Office Telephones, the Electricity Board and the Gas Board. They were not good days.
Strange then that you can't get hold of a chief...I don't think it could be any worse, even if it were true. Far too many chiefs and not enough Indians currently. 'Twas ever thus in nationalised entities.
But that is just poor management. Nothing to do with it being nationalised.nationalised entities too many top dogs and wasteful pratices

I have a new one (original was 30 years old when we moved in) £150 increase on the last 1000L delivered, so no savings with oil.I miss having an oil fired boiler![]()
Fair enough, I just seem to remember paying a lot less but this was 6 years ago mind....and I had a wood burner come to think of itI have a new one (original was 30 years old when we moved in) £150 increase on the last 1000L delivered, so no savings with oil.
Depending on the weather we use 2000 - 2500L a year.
Norway seemed to do it properly.
Having worked up there, Im sure there is, but not the cheapest or easiest to get out or get to market. But free, who's going to pay for the drilling, production, export, processing, and transmission infrastructure.Theres as much gas west of Shetland we could all have free gas but politics and the greenies mean we all have to pay through the nose for foreign gas and American LNG
