I remember it well, we had it at school, no wonder no-one washed their hands. When my son started at the same secondary school 20odd years later it still smelt of it after all that time. An instrument of torture somewhere between water boarding & being put on the rack!

I got some cheese from my niece, which is good, because i like it and it will be used.

I also got some aftershave, in motorcycle form. The wheels are where its stored, they pop off to allow you to get the stuff out. Sadly it smells like the stuff used to keep blowflys off sheep, but i can replace it with old-old spice or something !

Its difficult to get a decent belt. I had a good few and they didn't last long, the buckle pulled through the leather. Bought a pair of braces and find them much better.

I usually buy Dunhill belts from their shop in Jermyn street but the cost may put you off a bit, i bought one of THESE for a friend and he was well pleased with it, lovely bridle leather.

I have a belt made out of the leather from a set of victorian cart horse tack. It is seriously thick with a hand forged buckle to go with it.

I just make pants. For my own use. Or chaps.

However the imaginatively named Orkney Leather make some fantastic stuff. I will pm you details @northwest

I get belts from the county show usually. There’s always someone there making them on the day. Normally thick whole grain leather. Best one I ever got was from Abergavenny cattle market (now a Morrisons) when I was 17. Lasted till mid 30’s everyday use
