Suggestions please, courier for 20 ft mast UK.

I have a customer order in for a 20ft mast to be delivered but the carrier we used to use will no longer take them. Does anyone have a sugestion for one that can take it? 20ft is about 6100 metric thingies.

Make it de-mountable into shorter easily assembled parts. Sell it as saving client huge shipping fees.

I can't see many people touching it for sensible money sadly. Could probably send through our pallet network but would be 5 or 6 spaces

I had several 5.5m lengths of aluminium extrusion delivered by Tuffnels the other week, so unless it's a really recent decision . . . ? do you go direct to them, or through someone else?

Tufnells delivered 6m long to me two weeks ago. Round bar. Probably 100kg worth.

The thick plottens. It turns out that my supplier no longer has a Tuffnell's account. I have tried ringing them direct but the 'phone number is "unassigned" and so far I have no reply to my email enquiry. Looks like it is going to be possible, but what they charge may be a different matter of course.

Anyone here with a Tuffnell's account that could book it on perhaps? They don't seem to offer a general public option.

Hauled alloy 20Ft alloy poles over most of the country when in LMR business, Transit, Fiat Doblo, we made our roof fittings incorporating pipe clamps.
Front overhung by a foot, back triangular stripey board with 3 x 10mm led lights and one in the middle. clamp round pipe held board & horizontal flat surface for beacon.
Did it for years never got pulled even in London. Friend still doing it with Ford Connect

I picked up an 8 mtr ally mast the other day. Used my dinghy trailer, which is 5mtr long and put a prop up from the hitch point so the excess was over the roof of the car. Often pick up wood at 6 mtr with the box trailer. Similar with a front frame to raise to clear the car and about 1.5 mtr sticking out the back with some frilly red knickers on to advise people.

As above, depends where to, if you have to sub it out..

Cambridge. Otherwise we would have delivered. It could also come from Exeter or London, but Cambridge is still too far for local van delivery.

Tuffnell's have not offered the courtesy of a response so it looks like I may have to let my customer down, which bothers me greatly.

i carry 21 foot scaffie poles on van roofrack and skirting boards. just lay them on a double extension ladder with a rag on the end
