New dual monitors for Fusion360

Hi Guys,
My 2off 24" monitors have begun to play up, and I'm thinking of replacing them both with twin 28"'s. I've been out of the game for a while now, but will need a PCI-e graphics card that will enable me to use them properly - I'll need, either 2 x HDMI 2, or 2 x DisplayPort 1.2 (or better) outputs.
I don't play games at all, my main usages are Fusion360, big spreadsheets, coding etc

Any suggestions?

I'm not sure they all need to be the same connection but all must have the same refresh rate. On a pc here I have three monitors as one display, two are display port and the other is hdmi. I'm using a GTX1080 for that. but probably outdated now

I'm a convert to ultra wide screen.
That's 1080x3480 49"
Wish I'd gone slightly taller.

I'm assuming as your running two screens currently you have a Gpu installed

Download gpuid and will give you specs etc for it.

Still a useful card. Finally pulled the trigger on a new card last night

I was using it sim racing but had to cap frame rates at 120 otherwise I had a few stutter’s.

I've got a gtx1050 2gb up for grabs this week. Owes me £90

Bought it for my lad last week but pulled the trigger on a new card for me so he's getting my old card.

Needs a 4 pin supply from your PSU. That may be an issue with whatever you upgrade with depending on your PSU unless you can find one that's mobo powered

Bear in mind that DisplayPort can be Daisy-Chained. You don't necessarily need 2 ports on the GPU card.

I bought a second hand Quadro when I used a desktop, easily ran two monitors and they seem to hold their value (Looking on eBay I think the prices have gone up!), should probably sell it now.

Now I use a laptop and a 4K monitor, this is nice because I can split it up into four 1080p windows, or two stacked ultrawides, or two or three tall windows akin to a vertical monitor, I like this versatility much more than two separate monitors, and I can always just use it for one big window. I use a 32" because the pixel size is a very close match to my 15.6" 1080p laptop screen, so (At 100% scaling) windows, text, etc don't significantly change size dragging between the two displays. 32" is probably a bit small if you're moving from two 24" displays though, I don't know how big they make them before the price gets silly.

I'm using a 32" 4k monitor too. Used to use two 24" monitors but the 32" is much better. The additional height is more useful to me than width and I'm not having to move my head side to side like it's a tennis match when viewing two windows.

If the monitors only have 1 DP, how do you daisy-chain them? Will I need a splitter?

I run 1 big ultrawide and use a split screen - same as using 2 monitors.

But when you have 2x 28" monitors? - When I was at work, I had every possible option, and 2 x 28" is what works best for me (until I add a 3rd in Portrait mode)

If your monitors don't support daisy chaining you need a "Multi-stream transport hub". It's only DP1.2 and higher which supports MST though, I can't tell if that's what your card has. For the price of a hub, I'd just get a new (Or second hand) GPU which already has multiple outputs.

How are your current 24" displays connected?

Currently don't have a card its just run off the processor. (i5 4590 3.3) with 16gb memory

I am not a gamer but some fo the 3d rendering I get from my drawings man cause me issues.
So i think this would be a reasonable upgrade ??

That wasn't too bad mate. Half the price of the Samsung's. Just over 500 from memory. Cheaper than the triple screen setup id have bought
