Does any one know a decent place to order slitting and flap discs that's no overly expensive

Check the merchandise isle at your local Aldi shop. Currently a variety of disks packets including flap & slitting are available at my local.

I bought some flap disks last week (about £4 each as I needed them asap), yesterday Aldi/lidl were selling a 4-pack of them for less than a fiver.
I now have plenty of spares, and no need of them for the immediate future. Typical.

Wurth can be cheap. eBay?

You get what you pay for. I use a lot of discs and find that the better ones cost more but last longer so for me the value is better

Get some Dronco or Klingspor off ebay. Don't buy more than you can use in a year because they have use by dates on them and you could get stuck with a pile you shouldn't use.

a lot of these are 125mm to suit the Aldi grinders so it depends if you have a 115mm grinder or not

Try fastco for dronco slitting discs - last time i bought some they were pretty competitive.

For flap discs - have you looked into using fibre discs instead?
The ceramic ones are cheaper and last longer and unless you actually need to get into corners., work better too IME.

I know two of the tightest lads in the world and if they don't need to spend, they won't. But they buy Wurth slitting disks and never moan about the cost.

I have been really happy with my discs from myconsumables.com. cheap as chips, and still seem to last a good while. Better than the ones I used to pick up from eBay / Toolstation whenever I ran out.

We have a farriers buying group set up and get them in bulk for about half that price.
I have got hundreds here at the moment if you want to try some!

We did do a fair bit of testing on various types and some definitely work better than others for certain applications so if it's a specific job you are doing let me know as I have a few notes on what was good for what

I ordered ten packs of ten 1mm cutting discs from Screwfix, a few years ago, when they had a sale on. I think it was £1.99 for ten discs. Have a look, see what prices they are now.

I used to buy both cutting and flap discs off ebay, fairly cheap, varying quality, and longevity, but I’ve never had one burst on me.

But they do fit in Makita 4 1/4 inch grinders just and soo

Probably Klingspore or something like that.
You will spend more time replacing discs than grinding..

Only slitting disc I've ever had disintegrate on me was a DeWalt 115mm. Bought when TS/SF were doing them cheap. Never again.
