Due to the fact of the way things are now, it could just be me, if not please say, but things are so dam difficult, faffy and hard work to do nowadays. And no not due to bloody covid or Brexit as sooo many many folk blame it on as its been for well before then and got worse.

Docs, you call for an appointment on Friday ` call Monday as i cant do anything for two weeks, call Monday `oh i can get you in in two weeks time` thats after 15 mins on hold. FFS

Call Docs abut a referall that got cancelled and got told i was lying in certain words that i wasnt referred to the surgeon , and i have the letter in my hands.. FFS

Screwfix order, on line i buy it, get there oh we dont have it in stock, can get it in three days. FFS

Order something of Ebay, I wait after for three day post. MMM where is it after 4 days, message them, Oh sorry its out of stock for two weeks. FFS

Again of Ebay, it arrives damaged and seller says a 15% refund as damaged in transit. SOD THAT, so over two weeks i argue the toss its not working then they give full refund. FFS

You try and sell something and all you get is morons that waste your time asking stupid questions then just vanish.

Work, got to a drop, been there 20 mins atleast as they are on brew, fair do`s there. then a steel delivery arrives when the finish brew time. Come out and tell me to wait while they unload the wagon. I have a pallet, 3 mins of a job. Wagon near 30 mins to unload, and i was there first anyway. Sod that i drove off.

All that in space of a couple of weeks. Not to mention more annoying idiots about.


It makes me more and more just want to buy an Island and vanish away from people and live `The Good Life `.

Hate to say this but it doesn't get any better. Now how do you feel. An old lady I was doing some work for 20 years ago said " Don't wait to grow old it's not worth it" How right she was but the alternative is worse ,or so I've been told.

Each day i come home like a cripple after being on my knees all day..still resisting pain meds though as i see that as a slippery slope. Hot bath and good food and i start coming round about 7pm...Dont carry heavy stuff anymore but i need to be hands on to survive mentally. I can so relate to this. At 56 I am looking to sell up and retire some place that’s warmer, where I don’t have to deal with the constant muppetry the OP talks about.

My mother is 91.
At age 17 she was stretchered into a Tuberculosis hospital, five years later she was out.
She lost her first child shortly after birth (we would call it medical negligence nowadays and get lawyered up)
She lost her third child due to his illness, she will tell you herself it's harder to lose a child than a husband.
She was diagnosed untreatable (by drugs or chemo) cancer seven weeks ago. Operated on three weeks ago and given the all clear last week.
When I spoke to her yesterday, she was "just popping out for some bits".

To be brutally frank that sounds like your in with a fighting chance of seeing your Doc. The system mine uses, is phone lines open at 8:30 but but by the time you get through after an hours (or more) wait the appointments are all gone. You can’t book other than on the day & if you miss out, you have to chance the appointment lottery all over again the next day.
The problem is the BMA decide the number of trainee doctors & I suspect they keep the numbers low so there is never enough to keep Salaries high on a supply & demand basis.
