Pretty sure they're called 'System Zero' security screws. They come in a range of sizes.

Very similar to E Torx (external torx) by the looks of it. Halfords sets usually have them, might be close enough to work.

looks like the same model as mine, but mine has Phillip headed screws

ive a six slice I bought for about a fiver twenty years ago from flea bat ,,, standard screws ,, mine had a new timer fitted and a couple of plates and Its worked ever since ,
why not grind a cut out into a ckeap screwdriver flat blade and pich up on two of the slots on the anti tamper screws ,,, then put normal ones back in , probably standard plates etc inside.

The screw heads are recessed in a counterbore,so either I try drilling or gouge into the moulding to create a slot.

I'd try Tom's method, & cut a slot in the tip of a flate blade screwdriver, to make it act like a pin spanner.

I have the four slice version of that one. Is it supposed to go Bing when it's done? Mine just goes clunk. If that's because there's a broken bit I'd love to repair it, because the clunk isn't very loud and I feel that Bings should be encouraged!

If you eventually gain access through the base by drilling the current screws out, maybe you could use short self tappers when putting it back together.

No, it just stops ticking.

Mind you, it's been through the dishwasher twice in its long life. Not something I recommend (you would have to be VERY thorough with the drying procedure) but it hasn't done this old thing any harm. Don't think I want to push my luck too far so it's on the todo list for getting cleaned manually.

Update,2 of the screws came out with a l/h drill bit,thanks @James1979 ,had to gouge thru the moulding to remove the other 2! but then everything looks ok inside,so I’ll ask a mate who understands electronics to cast his eye over,as displayed on here they have a long life potential and I’m loathed to buy another 3 year landfill product. Thanks all.

Resurrection of an old thread here but my four slicer has started playing up and it has these poxy system zero screws in it. I'll get a new set of security bits (my current ones don't have system zero in them) and report back what I find.

They look like a Bristol spline
