How small can you make a nuclear reactor these days? It would be a handy thing to have in the back of the Landrover, when I convert to electric.
He'll be getting a polite "hello" at most, certainly no good will that's for sure!I would print off that objection letter, have it framed then build my workshop. When he comes round asking for some machining work grab the letter and stuff it in his face.
I mistakenly judged others by my standards. Lesson learned there! You'd have to be mad to tell them what you plan to do, especially at the planning submission stage, it's asking for trouble people dont always understand, let them think it's just a garage get your plans approved, build it and crack on
Size of a coffee jar was promised ten odd years ago, I seem to remember. How small can you make a nuclear reactor these days? It would be a handy thing to have in the back of the Landrover, when I convert to electric.

I had loads of problems with my old neighbour, mostly her moaning about noise and calling the police. Once she objected to me "clearly running a business" as I'd filled the garage with industrial machinery. I asked if she had any hobbies, she said no so I suggested she got one, and went back to what I was doing.![]()
The irony about the comment about noise is that the ICF product I'm planning to use for the walls has one of the lowest noise transmission levels of any construction product for a similar thickness and it will be a lot quicker to complete the garage so another reduction in noise!I had loads of problems with my old neighbour, mostly her moaning about noise and calling the police. It's the back garden. The original plan was 350mm from the boundary which is where the existing garage (to be demolished) is built. that might change to 600mm now as a show of good faith and allowing me to work without diturbing their fence.power not a problem the structure is
first off front or back of garden
so your building right up to the party wall fence ? yes or no
noise side of it you can reduce the noise depends on what you build and use
concrete forms what are you using ?
fire rated cert saying 4 hrs please show this note id like to see what your using
comercial premises well had that comment already makes no difference when the shed is already classed as a business run from the property
only on buildings prior built before a certain date that rule changed with the party wall act where new buildings out buildings had to be so far away from the party wallAt a previous property, the neighbours got all pi$$y about me replacing a garage (size-wise, at least) like-for-like, I made sure I exercised my rights under The Access to Neighbouring Land Act 1992 to carry out maintenance on a regular basis, usually on a Sunday morning...
