Back on the Tig this morning, well out of practice 
Cut some bits on the plasma then stuck them together to make this.
For this mad wee dog.
Then stuck together some more aluminium to make a bit for dropping the control handles down on the last Cat I did. Skipper not liking the extra force he needs to haul out of gear so is going with standard length handles rather than the short length ones he has at the moment.
I will cut a bit out of the top of the current console and weld in this to drop them down 35mm.

FL2 sills are the same, hidden by plastic covers, underneath can be interesting

ill take a few ,, I normally dont bother with pics as I find my phone gets filled with iron dust if I take it into the workshop ,, ive a couple Ive posted before , I will bung them up again , same job just on different cars .
the one Im at now was bad , and the tyre bay guys jacked it up on the rubber jack point , and pushed the whole bottom sill and jack point reinforcement up so far it bent the top inner sill and the door was jamming ,, trouble is the plastics and the door all have to meet fairly accurately to get the door to close and the seals to work ,,, engine frame had sections missing from it too , easier to make those without removing the engine though ,,, just lots of dirty grinding ,,, ah well.

Always liked the P229, if you want a crowd pleaser, the MP5 was hard to beat along with a couple of flashbangs!

Last weekends project. I bought a small mig welder to run Flux core wire for outside work or the never ending repairs to the cowshed rails,as cows are destructive creatures when they lean on things.
It has been living on the bench and getting in the way, so I made a trolley so I can roll it out of the way into the corner. Made form off cuts and some really rubbish castors from Super Cheap Auto (which is like Halford, without any pretence of quality). It came in on budget ($0)...

A few new hammer handles.
Normally I would use a friends copy lathe, but he is in isolation for 10 days.
So I turned some beech square blanks into rounds.
Using a old shaft I draw round it, one side on, the other on the side.
Using that you shape the handle with draw knifes, rasps(Fine) and sand paper.
A good trick is to leave 1"/25mm at each end to allow it the be finished on the lathe. Then trim them off and hand finish.
This finish here is bee's wax, from a local hives.
Now the wise will see they are 2 different lengths, why?
One blank had a dam shrank in it.

Be mindful they may come undone. I ended up having to put bolts on mine to stop them coming undone constantly.Yup, more knurled brass.

Knurled nuts so I can fold the top half of the lawnmower handle over, without having to use the spanner.
