Just bought a 3D printer

Ender Pro 3, not sure if its the V2 or not ?

Quick on line purchase after several large glasses of fizzy alcoholic water

Now this isnt really important, significant or exciting unless you know and understand my incredibly limited IT skills

I blame a member on here, he will be helping me to get this all going

It arrives on Thursday..................

Should be interesting Parm your IT sounds like mine, a suggestion though print nothing for Vark it could get you on the naughty step

That’s not mental. Take your time building it up, and then print out something to replace that annoying broken plastic thing in the kitchen that you’ve previously never got round to fixing to win a few brownie points, and after that you’re away.
By the way, the Creality slicer software that comes with it on a little usb stick seems to work very well - I run everything through it to do the slicing and it creates the g-code file perfectly (unlike Fusion360, which is good for designing but the post processing produces a file that the Ender3 does not like at all, at least not for me).

Same as mine. When you assemble it use a square and rule to make sure it's built perpendicular/parallel and it'll work very well. The z-axis nut needs shimming out with a gasket to get a good fit. Other than that it's a nice strightforward machine to builsd and run.

When you get it built you can print off my Balzer relieving tool working model. It was the first thing I drew and printed on my Ender 3 pro.

@Parm I'll follow your 3d printing adventures with interest as, funnily enough, I've come quite close to making the same fun-juice fuelled purchase myself!

Being able to print with the stronger plastics is what interests me...

You made the right choice Enders are great value for the money and mine worked out the box…(after assembling ) the first mod is to get “octoprint” working, requires a few things but means you can print over wifi or over the internet without hassle or cables… Then connect astro print to your octoprint, find what you need on thingyverse and via astro print you can basically use your 3d printer as a normal printer….e.g select what you want off thingyverse and press print
