Anti slip paint

Looking for recommendations for anti slip paint for exterior wooden decking / ramp.

Considering anti slip strips that you screw on but that about £250.

Paint must stick to tantalised wood.

Crushed glass blasting grit either mixed in or preferably sprinkled over when underlying paint is just beginning to go tacky

Not sure much paint will stick for long on to walked on exterior wood?

On fibreglass decks, we use 'micro billes' micro balls in the paint.

Sand works well mixed with paint.

This is what I’ve used. Comes as a paint on / trowel on or a sheet format

there is a brand ‘wing wall’ which is good also but not seen that in uk for a while. There’s some on eBay at the moment.

If you know anyone in aircraft they may be able to get you out of date stuff

For some reason wing walk paint was exceptionally hard to get a hold of...it certianly would never have had the chance to go out of date.

Down to penny pinching rather than product though...

Microballons as used for Fibreglass filler? I can send you some, I have bags of it for some reason! No idea if it will be what you need though.

I wasn't overly chuffed given the price when SWMBO bought this:

For some old decking steps that tbh need ripping up and redoing.

However...it really does what it says in the tin.

No I don't work for them!

Have read though that the Screwfix No Nonsense stuff is equally as good according to the reviews.

You can also get grippy tape, not sure how well it would stick to wood but judicious use of a staple gun would probably ensure it didn’t go anywhere…

I have found so anti slip resin type paint that you mix up with the grit & hardener & set in 30 mins.

Arrives on Wed so will se what its like then.
