I have many but one that always springs to mind is a pair of vice grips with the word "mole" embossed on them i always seem to pick them up from the draw and give myself an additional blood blister to the many hundreds them bas£ards have given me when trying to un-release them. Work of Satan they are.

The latest so called "treated roofing battens"that are no more than just covered in a blue or red dye which has penetrated no further into the timber than a cigarette paper thickness..more so you end up going home with the stuff all over you from your boots to your hat.

I've used mine a lot, particularly as grips for ripping up the lino in aircraft galleys (it's very stuck down) and never once has this happened to me.

Still not sure why people use it, it's useless. It's the best marketing for the worst product. Terrible lubricant, terrible penetrant, terrible in general. I use 3-in-1 or "canned heat" + candle wax, they work just fine.

I bought a Stanley belt. It was on offer, a fiver?

Trouser belt.

Stupid thing, too wide, way too wide, to fit in belt buckle things on trousers, designed for obese builders, way too long, I've adapted it, it's still bloody useless.

I have elasticated belts from Snickers Workwear. They're the best, so comfy. And best of all, they still fit after lunch!

I like pancakes. Tried that Aunt Bessie's stuff and agree, its carp. If you can find it, try Bisquick brand. I found an American candy shop in the town of Neath, South Wales which is waiting on a shipment from overseas.

It seems an expensive way to buy flour and eggs though?

Got a bfo Rolson adjustable years ago from The New Cut Price Warehouse in Uxbridge. Still good tbh.

The "Quality Tools" stamp always made me chuckle mind, some of it was dire. The Rolson 18V grinder wasn't bad in it's day. I killed it by converting to run from Makita Li-ion batteries...

I stumbled on these last year and still have not used them in anger...i think the box is worth more than the grips

It does that down to the solvent in it, but other things containing solvents do that much better. I use isopropyl alcohol for sticky stuff and the like.

I get that WD isn't "intended" for all the things it's advertised and used for, i just find it generally useless and have other products better at preventing rust.

Cheap crimpers are generally a false economy, but i recently bought some for bootlace ferrules from Amazon that are actually very good.
