cheers, was only about a 12 hour build, wasnt really making it look lyk a certain design,just added a bit here and a bit there still got a few little things i want to add tho.

its for someone who works for an f1 team!! really want to keep it now lol!! going to build myself something for myself. welding the sheet was a bit of pain tho as its only about 0.5mm

Just ran into this site on another forum. There are some beautiful models and not even that expensive if you see how much labour is in it.

I gave a welder to a friend of mine, it was an old oil cooled one I didn't use and his buzz box was on it's last legs. He made me a motorbike from scrap as a thank you. It now has pride of place on the mantelpiece.

Dont like those at all, mass produced tat. Totally formulaic made in a factory. Hats off to the original designer, I just hope he gets paid for it. But there is too much of this stuff around. I have been bought two of these over the years by well meaning family members, straight to the charidee shoppe.

The worst is mass produced in China or Tanzania and fobbed off as being hand made in the uk.

Another example have a look for rex the mouse .http://www.rexmouse.co.uk/index.php Barfsome.

No flow, feeling or sense of 'specialness' about any of it. At those prices and quantities is it really hand made made locally?

However real sculpture made by real people is great. I just hope the eventual owners appreciate it for what it is, a part of the person who made it, something that you can't just go out and buy.

dont even talk 2 me about the 280D under the bench!! went up in flames while i was driving along one night!! been replaced with a lincoln 305D
