There are tons of things we actually don't need .I’ve just seen an advert for an App Controlled pressure washer
who the bloody hell needs an app controlled pressure washer
WTF ?
Maybe they were switched internally? Not something I would like as you wouldn't know if the switch was on when you removed a bulb. You'd potentially have a live fittingI saw some bulbs that were WiFI. Not sure of the Wifi function, as I thought a signal would go to the switch??
I have wifi lightbulbs, they allow me to turn them off via an app or google or with the switch (can turn them on with the app but not if you turned them off with the switch)Maybe they were switched internally? More to go wrongI’ve just seen an advert for an App Controlled pressure washer

Mine does that. I have turned it off and it works like any other but having got it I can see a few advantages of it to be honest, especially if I was in a city or on a site with blokes I didn't know.latest milwaukee impact drivers are app cnnectivity ....great unless like me you dont have a i type phone![]()

I could:
Ringfence it so if its a certain distance from my phone it won't work or will make a noise or both
Make it make a noise - handy if its been lost or moved
Change the Dugga Duggas so I dont snap studs off - handy if I employ monkeys
Kill it - if its nicked and I want to ruin it I can do a one time thing on the app so its totally useless, including the battery. Even if I got it back I cant reverse it.
There is also a tool control function so I can log it to an app which then creates merry hell if I try to leave site without it.
There are other things as well I think but I'm not interested.
I did not buy it. Well I did but not on purpose. I ordered the normal one and would never had bought this one had they not sent it by mistake. I was desperate and they did it for the same price as the other as it was their cock up. Shows what a mark up is on these things! They will be moving everything over to this new system apparently. The only bit I rate is the tool control. The security aspect would be handy as well I suppose but I dont tend to do big site work.
According to the boy in MacGregors, where I bought it, apparently it logs 'abuse' as well although they aren't supposed to tell you that bit. No idea what abuse actually is although probably anything more serious than looking at it funny which gives them an excuse to void the warranty.....Thats interesting.
