Got some 65mm pvc drainpipe, cut a bit off and glued to cap one end for citric de rusting steel lengths. ABS would have been better but they didnt have any or proper end caps. The MEK doesnt seem to work that well on this, turns it rubbery instead of dissolving So used pipe solvent, very little surface area I expect it to leak.

Rest of day sanding down everything around the stairs to repaint tomorrow.

I spent an afternoon making a bulkhead bracket for a radiator expansion tank/bottle for my hot rod. I’m going for a sort of classic car steampunk hot rod theme. It’s 1/8” aluminium with some hammer rivets holding the arms on. Needs a bit more cleaning up and ‘ageing’.

On the subject of RUBs, you seen anywhere that sells either blue or pink, (see through, not solid), ones?

Hi,

The snow has gone for the moment and the rain has let up so yesterday I dragged the Hyundai rotavator up the mountain and rotavated the meadow at the top; I've already got the new wildflower seeds to broadcast; I intended to broadcast the seeds today but rain got in the way; I need to rake first but perhaps tomorrow if we have a rare dry day.


It sure is a steep garden and a challenge just to stand upright. This is the third year for the meadow and it's admired by all the walkers along the adjacent lane.

The picture doesn't do the meadow justice; it's stunning in its beauty; I've bought the same wildflower mix again but this time bought other wildflower seeds to mix in; "Meadowmania" are the seed suppliers.

Also yesterday I started a 1,000 piece jigsaw for something to interest me and continued today whilst the rain enjoyed itself. Nothing special in doing a jigsaw unless you're hopelessly colour blind like me but I'll stick with it. I'm never bored.

Thanks for that - a small order just placed with them for some border and shady area coverage.

Yep and it’s a little gem of a tool. Wasn’t expecting much when I bought it but it keeps doing everything I ask of it

Not the Range Rover, but definitely the Lotus Epsprit. Range Rover had long vertical handle down the back of the doors
