It is only about an hour ago that I thought why are there so many fire works this evening

Our Westie opened his eyes for a couple of seconds just now when there was a loud bang but he has gone back to sleep now, surprising as he’s normally scared of his own shadow

Is it just the volume or something else. I’ve never seen a dog have the hebe geebees when guns are fired but come bonfire night most don’t think much to it.

its very strange used to go out with the shotgun and dog and he never flinched .blow a paper bag up and pop it and he would crap himself even if he never saw it we would just jump no matter what

Probably with organised bonfires etc banned., More people maybe holding their own back garden firework display, To be honest I didn't know how they can afford it, They are megga expensive now, Bangers were a penny each in my day, and that was pre decimal with 240 pence to a pound!!

Border Collies seem very upset by them. Ours has got worse every year and shakes like a leaf if he can hear the bangs.....so we just bang the TV up to insane levels and he's fine unless we get a quiet passage.

Yes, we’re not bothered here either. We don’t get any fireworks in my new village, but last year, in our old place, they went on all night, and she would go walkies with me and not bat an eye lid. I’m sure she is devoid of emotion anyway, strange dog.

We had it last week, Halloween, absolutley despise it. Every little scumbag out lighting fires and letting off fireworks. They cannot just fire them into the sky and be happy, they have to aim them at something. Peoples houses or moving cars usually.
