Aldi Portable Bandsaw

Can we get the Mods to lock this thread please.............I'm a bath of sweat looking at the checkout basket on Aldi at the moment

I can be almost certain that the next run of jobs I'm on will have no use for a bandsaw.

Ordered . Why the grumpy face? Because I told myself I wouldn't spend any more money on workshop tools this year after a rather expensive splurge recently..
Anyone got experience with delivery? Says 2-7days but I want to use it this weekend coming

I wouldnt want to know what I've spent this year, and I certainly don't want the OH to know what I've spent

Divide the total by 2.. that's what I told her.. still didnt get a good response mind you . I just bring up the expense of horses any time I need to justify something.. also justified my welder purchase by offering to build some furniture for the house with it that would of cost us 800 quid.. do that twice and the welder has paid for itself! Man maths

I've used all those arguments as well, as I keep saying my welder and such can sit in the shed not costing anything unless I'm using it, horses are always needing something, the big expense was the plasma cutter, made a few bits for around the house first to keep the peace.

If aldi do a plasma cutter I'm in trouble I think plasma cutters fall in to the buy once and buy right category as you likely get what you pay for. As long as this saw cuts metal to a reasonable standard it's good enough for me. Dont need NASA accuracy with it. Hopefully arrives before Saturday

Yeah I'm not needing anything to fancy from the bandsaw, it'll be better than me with the grinder anyway. Plasma cutter wasn't a lidl or aldi job so a good bit of money.
