its amazing what we all take for granted ,,, when i was buying escorts etc , head off at 40k , valves and guides ,, and pistons , rings and a re bore at 80k , probably bearings too ,, low oil pressure light on at tick over was the norm ,, and non of them ever got to 100k any way ...Having embraced new ways, ive always been pretty decent at problem solving.

if you reved a car then like they do today and bounce it off the rev limiter , you would be picking the valves out of the pistons , and the collets out of the sump.
