ur gonna spend some money on those sizes........
for example have a look at the hollow cyls.....used in industry.....ouch.....
can I ask what's it gonna be used for......?
What are the connectors on that? I only understand simple double acting cylinders...
It's a double acting ram so you would only retract it the necessary gap?Tractors/diggers that have them fitted in pairs often have fittings like that. You run the 2 lines to one ram then 2 shorter lines between the 2 rams.
If you are planning on making a forge press from that you are going to need one hell of a frame for it.
You will want one hell of a pump as well otherwise you are going to get fed up pretty quickly waiting for it to extend and retract.
If it's more of a forge press and you only need the 12" stroke for die loading you might want to think about a (maybe more than one) position switch that holds the ram extended a set amount to save having to wait for it to travel the full 12" every time.

What sort of tonnage are you requiring. I’ve a Enerpac 50t ram, its about 300mm with 250ish travel
Do some calculations for a forging press. You should look for 1 inch per second travel under load and a good starting point is 8 tons per square inch for forging.
Have you seen the book on making a hydraulic press by Batson. It had plans for a c frame and h frame press.

I’d be interested in that depending on the money? What sort of tonnage are you requiring. I’ve a Enerpac 50t ram, its about 300mm with 250ish travel
