Surely the point is they have never been able to stop incoming but can stop spittle exhaled whilst talking or light coughing.

I think Parm is right about ppe - the name gives away it's primary purpose, but in terms of covid droplets if everybody wore one of these the droplets travel a shorter distance - on average. Hence it would reduce the incidence of transfer. It's not ppe though.

I am not disputing that PPE is personal but you could always interpret it as an item you wear that provides protection.

The only way to clear all this up is to have a standard standard...oh let's call it a CE mark
